Bandari is breathing fire ahead of their GOtv Shield semi-final clash against Muhoroni Youth at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday.
“We are not going to leave anything to chance and Muhoroni Youth must know that they will be playing a tough team,” Bandari coach Twahir Muhiddin said.
Muhiddin said he has prepared his boys well and asked them to maintain their good standards. The dockers leave Mombasa today for Nairobi.
He said the players are in top form, save for a few knocks which they suffered during the team’s quarter-final clash against Ulinzi.
“The knocks are not hindrance to my march to the final. My team’s destination is to lift the GOtv Shield although we must go past Muhoroni Youth,” the former Harambee Stars tactician said.
Muhiddin also praised his defenders for coming out as one of the best backline in the Kenyan Premier League.
Bandari conceded 25 goals. Champions Gor Mahia had the best defence that only soaked in 12 goals while Nakuru All Stars had the weakest one that allowed 58 goals.
“Kudos to all my defenders for a splendid performance as they stood firm and had the second meanest defence,” the coach pointed out.

However, Muhiddin conceded that he will be meeting an equally a good team, which had a good run in the KPL. Bandari finished fourth while Muhoroni Youth were placed sixth.
Muhoroni’s Ugandan coach Paul Nkata is also ready to sink Bandari and qualify for the final.
The Ugandan improved Muhoroni Youth’s playing unit and lost once in the 14 matches he was in charge of since he took over from Francis Baraza in July.
The former Nairobi City Stars coach has been linked with a move to Tusker.
Meanwhile, Gor Mahia striker Michael Olunga has thanked fans for voting him as the Fans Player of the Month for October.
Olunga came out the best beating City Stars’ Jimmy Bagaye, Bandari’s David Kingatua, Mathare’s Noah Abich and Ulinzi Stars’ John Makwata to the award voted by fans that comes with a prize money of Sh10,000 and a personalised trophy courtesy of Soka and SuperSport.
