Samburu West MP Naisula Lesuuda took to social media to announce the arrival of daughter Enzi Chelimo Melau Koitaba.
The lawmaker and husband, Robert Koits Kiplagat, wed in 2018 and according to Lesuuda, their daughter’s birth was predicted by her grandmother.
“During our wedding grandma’s gift was this beautiful doll meaning this was her prayer for us. It has come to pass,” Lesuuda wrote on Facebook. “We counted the months, weeks, days and the day is finally here.”

She explained that on their wedding day, her grandmother gave the newlyweds a gift of a handmade doll. “To think that initially grandma was making a boy doll then it broke and she abandoned the project to make a girl,” Lesuuda explained, “it was prophetic.”
In the same post, Lesuuda went on to explain her daughter’s name.
“Enzi - Sovereign/Powerful
Chelimo - Born in the morning
Melau - The one who never lacks”

She proceeded to thank her friends, family and doctors for their support as well as offering her congratulations to her husband.
“To the latest Dad in town Robert Koits Kiplagat congratulations. I love you.” she wrote.
