What's crazier than when your birth control lets you down? Unexpected pregnancies can mess up your plans and make you rethink things.

Here are some remarkable moments when celebrities had surprise babies, whether it was due to contraception mishaps, mistaken menopause, or simply reconnecting with an ex-flame.

Koku Lwanga

Koku Lwanga and Daddy Marto had quite the adventure with their third kid, from the moment of conception to the baby's grand entrance in a friend's car. On their YouTube channel, they cracked us up with the tale of how Koku Lwanga had a coil in place and still ended up pregnant.

"Before the coil, I checked the ultrasound, and it was all clear. But then, during my birthday, I felt super nauseous. I decided to take a test, and it didn't even take a second. I was screaming in the bathroom! I couldn't believe it because my youngest was just one year old. With him, it was a whirlwind," said Koku Lwanga.

"During delivery, the coil was nowhere near the placenta. I still get sharp pains when I stand up, which means the coil's still in there. Talk about an unexpected twist!"

Mitch Ngoje

Diana Bahati's little sister, Mitch Ngoje, is getting ready to welcome her fourth bundle of joy, despite being on contraceptives. On her YouTube channel, Mitch spilled the beans about her mixed feelings when she found out she was pregnant.

"Before Reigny, my third, contraception failed me. Now, here we are again, and I'm still on it. I was like, 'Lord, what's going on?'"

Jackie Matubia

A year back, Jackie Matubia shared her pregnancy rollercoaster ride with her and Blessing's little one, Zendaya. On her YouTube channel, she revealed that she discovered she was expecting at eight weeks, even though she was on contraceptives.

"That day, I felt awful. I even thought I had caught Covid-19," she said. "I had zero appetite and never imagined I could be pregnant again."

Jackie went to the hospital and got tested for everything under the sun, including pregnancy.

"Between my last period and the time I got pregnant, I was on family planning" she explained.

"The doctor told me I was eight weeks pregnant, and I was like, 'Wait, what?' I didn't know whether to laugh, cry, or scream. I wasn't ready for this second pregnancy because our relationship was still in the 'honeymoon' phase."

"I sat in the car and bawled my eyes out for 30 minutes. Then, I called Blessing over the phone, and he was over the moon," she added.

Kourtney Kardashian

When faced with an unexpected pregnancy, Kourtney Kardashian, the reality TV sensation, found herself confronted with one of the most challenging decisions of her life.

She grappled with the choice of whether to embrace motherhood or opt for pregnancy termination. Kourtney candidly shared her contemplation, stating, "I gave it serious thought, weighing the decision to keep the baby or not, and adoption wasn't in my considerations."

Halle Berry

During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, acclaimed actress Halle Berry disclosed that, at the age of 47, she initially believed she was experiencing premenopausal symptoms when she learned of her second pregnancy.

The lesson here is that no matter how cautious you are, life's full of surprises. You just have to roll with the punches and think things over before you make your move.
