To prevent bad body odors, infections and for hygiene purposes, an individual should shower at least shower once in a day. When bathing, we should clean all the body parts properly. However, there are some body parts that we often forget to clean as necessary.
Here are the five body parts that are ignored when bathing:
The back of your ears- Ears are very sensitive because they provide the sense of hearing. There are sebaceous glands located there and secrete a sebum that keeps your skin moist. That secretion can, however, start to stink if not properly cleaned. It’s easy to get infections because there is a lot of dust that accumulates due to the day to day activities. Learn to wash your ears all the time. The Bellybutton- This is another sensitive area that is ignored. It’s one area that accumulates dirt. Those with a piercing have a double task as they should clean their piercing and the part itself. If it’s not, the piercing can bring about complications. It won’t take much of your time to clean it. Under the fingernails- Nails are a must wash but some don’t pay much attention. Have you ever asked yourself why is it we are told to wash our hands after leaving the toilet and before eating? This is to prevent you from consuming bacteria which is normally in a dark color that can bring about infections. Always wash your nails and clean your nail cutter after using it. The back- Some of you maybe cannot reach their back so they prefer running the shower on their back with no scrub which is not hygienic. Learn how to scrub your back to avoid dirt accumulating and staining your clothes. The bottom of your feet- The feet need tender care and the bottom of the feet is ignored a lot. If you have cracks, dead skin or it’s hard, that means you are not taking good care. Always soak your feet in warm water for some minutes and scrub them with a pumice stone to keep it soft and destroy the dry skin. Later, oil it.
