For fashion enthusiasts, the best part about every New Year is the new trends. Each year has its unique style craze and 2021 wasn’t any different.
Despite still spending quite a huge chunk of our time indoors, style never took a back seat not even once.
We got to see entirely new concepts and reinvented styles and we also saw some comebacks. Although this year has had its ups and downs, I’m glad that we could still serve looks and explore different styles.
Well, as the year comes to an end these are some of the style favs we adored and to be honest wouldn’t mind rocking them in 2022:

Over the years, more and more of us are appreciating what it means to be black and African for that matter. We have experienced a revolution in our music, art and fashion and we are now embracing our roots.
With that shift came a boom of African prints. From jumpsuits to traditional wedding dresses, we have seen it all this year and that is one trend that should officially be categorized as seasonless.
Natural tone outfitsThere was a time when the craze was neon outfits. Bright and bold colors were trending but this time round, we’re seeing more subtle tones being embraced.
With natural tones like lavender, brown and sap green making their rounds, we couldn’t get enough especially because natural tones favor every skin tone.

This year was a good year for Nike because almost everyone was spotted in these classic sneakers.
There were hundreds of unique color combinations and you could find any design to suit your style needs.
These sneakers could easily be matched with different street style outfits and for sure, they were one of the most popular style trends of 2021.
Two-piece outfitsTwo-piece sets are nothing new. They’ve been in the limelight for a while and they’re still going strong.
In 2021, we saw the emergence of matching sets like tracksuits which worked great for the ladies who wanted something casual but stylish and there was also the matching top and skirts combo for a girly aesthetic.
These two-piece sets became an easy favorite because you didn’t have to think much about styling them and they could be paired with sneakers, sandals, heels, boots, you name it.
Another thing is, the two-piece sets are a great alternative for the boring top and jeans combination and we love to see it.

When skinny jeans became popular, everyone couldn’t wait to get their hands or in this case, legs, on a pair. They could be combined with a variety of tops and women across all ages rocked them.
This year though, the story changed because baggy jeans are now the in thing.
They were mostly matched with tight fitting tops like crop tops and corsets but either way, baggy jeans can truly be paired with almost anything.
Chunky bootsPointed toe boots and thigh high boots have always been a closet favorite but in 2021, chunky boots were added to the list.
You can spot Doc Martens style boots in so many designs and people weren’t afraid to experiment with different outfits.
With these boots, you can easily pull off a sexy but edgy look when worn with a body con dress or even bring a classic vibe with baggy jeans and a trendy top.
