Chilli is a spicy stew containing loads of flavour and healthy ingredients for everyone in the family.
It can be served for either lunch or dinner as is or accompanied by a carbohydrate of choice.
It was previously known as chilli con carne meaning chilli with meat before being shortened to chilli.
Ingredients:
500 g of minced beef.
1 cups of beans(preboiled).
1 red onion.
2 tablespoons chilli powder.

2 tablespoons tomato paste.
2 tomatoes.
1 bell pepper.
2 garlic cloves.
Salt to taste.
Black pepper.
Instructions:
Heat cooking oil in a large pot, add in your diced onion, mince your garlic and add it to your onions, fry them till golden brown over medium heat.
Pour in your minced beef and stir well for about 5 -7 minutes to brown it, add in your spices and mix. Continue stirring till the beef absorbs the flavours appropriately.
Dice your tomatoes and bell pepper and set them aside. Prepare your preboiled beans by running them through cold water then drain them, and add them to your beef.
Add your tomatoes, tomato paste, bell pepper and a cup of water. Stir well. Simmer for 20-25 minutes.
Let the chilli rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. Can be served with either bread or rice. Enjoy!
