
Two prominent Azimio-allied politicians have defended the deposit of more than Sh86 million in their accounts by former MP Cyrus Jirongo in 2020, saying he was paying his debts.
Jubilee vice chairman David Murathe, who appeared at the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) headquarters, and Cotu Secretary Francis Atwoli said Jirongo owed them money and once he sold a piece of land he went ahead to pay back what they had loaned him.
