Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has renamed some key dockets in what he says will enhance service delivery.

Sakaja renamed the dockets while unveiling members of the County Executive Committee (CEC). Former Lands Executive Charles Kerich was the only survivor from the previous regime having been nominated to Finance and Economic Affairs docket.

Michael Gumo will take charge of Innovation and Digital Economy, Brian Mulama (Skills Development and Care), Patrick Mbogo (Mobility and Works), Stephen Gathuita Mwangi (Environment and Urban Planning) while Ibrahim Auma Nyangoya will head the Boroughs Administration and Personnel docket.

Rosemary Kariuki was nominated as Executive for Business and Hustler Opportunities while the Green Nairobi docket went to Maureen Njeri. The crucial Health went to Dr Anastasia Mutethya Nyalita while Suzanne Silantoi was named in charge of Inclusivity, Public Participation and Customer Service.

"The two sectors that we have just introduced; Boroughs Administration and Personnel, together with Business and Hustler Opportunities, will directly report to Deputy Governor James Muchiri," Sakaja stated.

The governor said his cabinet was carefully selected with the conviction that CECs will not disappoint city residents.

"I shall forward their names to the Nairobi City County Assembly, for approval, and we expect that they should be assuming office by mid next month," added Sakaja.

Also named in Sakaja's team were David Njoroge, the Chief of Staff, Lawrence Wambua (Economic Affairs Advisor), Elias Mutuma (Legal Advisor), Dr Samora Otieno (Health Advisor), William Ndungu (Political Advisor) and Prof Washington Ochieng becomes Mobility Advisor.

John Mwangi Maina was nominated Urban and Regional Planning while Priscilla Mahinda is the Private Secretary.

"This is the team that we shall work with to make Nairobi a working city of order, dignity, hope and opportunities," promised Sakaja.
