The controversial death of Monica Kimani and Sharon Otieno have stirred all sorts of conversations.
With many seeking to find a solution to the growing habit, celebrated gospel artist Mercy Masika shared a photo of Daily Nation’s front page which had highlighted the women who’ve been butchered so young.
“This is not the only cases. They are so many women who have suffered this. It disturbs me greatly,” she posted on her Instagram account.
The ‘Nikupendeze’ hitmaker invited her followers to share ways in which such cases can be handled and avoided.
“How do you think this can be sorted, share below,” she asked.
Media personality Kalekye Mumo was quick to air her two cents and claimed that upbringing matters.
“@mercymasikamuguro I totally agree… but I also feel we need to involve the mothers. Some encourage their daughters to go after the wrong things coz of money. I feel upbringing also matters,” she replied.
Daddy Owen also wondered who was to blame.
“So sad... Painful.. very painful! U sit and wonder, and ask yourself who is to blame???,” he posted on social media.
