Nairobi Metropolitan Minister Jamleck Kamau Wednesday launched the Jiggers Staircase Relay 2012 at KICC, being the first ever race to happen on the KICC Stairs, the race was organized by local NGO Ahadi Kenya and sponsored by HP, Winlot and Magnate Ventures Limited. The staircase race is intended at raising awareness on jigger problems in most parts of the country…the race was also aimed at raising money to help those infected. It is estimated that 2.6 million Kenyans are infested with jiggers.
