Water Principal Secretary Fred Segor says the ministry has set sights on hitting 80 per cent water coverage by 2020.
He said this would be made possible by continued investment in the sector, which increased from Sh2 billion in the 2003/2004 financial year to the current level of about Sh40 billion.
Water coverage levels, on the other hand, he said, had also increased from around 30 per cent then to the current level of 60 per cent.
