Alicia Keys surprises her man with birthday gift worth Sh15 million

American singer Alicia Keys spent at least $150, 000 (Ksh15 million) to buy her husband Swizz Beatz a brand new 2019 Aston Martin Vantage as a birthday gift.

Keys, 37, presented the gift to Swizz Beats in a star-studded party that saw the likes of fellow musicians Jay Z, Beyonce, Usher Raymond among other top celebrities attend.

Swizz Beats, whose real name is Kasseem Dean, actually celebrated his 40th birthday on September 13, revealed that he hurt his arm then and the expensive gift from his wife had to wait till October 20.

In a video that has been doing rounds on social media, Keys is seen taking a blindfolded Swizz Beats to the location of the car while instructing the media not say a word in order not to ruin the surprise.

“I thought we were going to a secret restaurant, a ninja restaurant. My wife is always up to something.” said Swizz Beats when asked why he thought Alicia Keys blindfolded him.

Keys also needed a lot of help from friends and family to organize the surprise. She confessed that she lied to him that the car was already sold out after learning of his interests in the machine.

“A lot, a lot of good friends who contributed, who love him, and a few little white lies to throw him off cause he’s so nosy!” she said while explaining how she managed to pull it off.

The surprise party comes ten months after Swizz Beats threw Alicia Keys her own surprise party for her 37th birthday that was also attended by a string of high profile celebrities. The two have been married for eight years now.
