Let us make chicken thick stew. This one is a household staple and does not take forever to prepare, since chicken cooks fast.

What you will need:

1 kg chicken cut into eight pcs

1 tomato grated

1 onion sliced

50g tomato paste

1 tbsp ginger paste/ mince

1 capsicum diced

1 teaspoon cumin powder

1 teaspoon black pepper

2 chicken cubes

2 tablespoon oil

Juice of 1 lime

1 cup water

What to do:

In a pan over medium heat, add oil and sauté the onions until soft; add the garlic and ginger paste, and sauté for few seconds. Then add the grated tomato, cumin and black pepper. Mix well.

Now add the chicken and cook for one to two minutes, then add capsicum and mix well.

Put in the tomato paste crumble and the chicken cubes, and cover with lid until the chicken has released its natural juices. When almost cooked, add one cup of water and bring to a boil until. Finish off with juice of lime.

Serve hot with vegetable rice.
