Kenya has recorded 14 new Covid-19 cases, from a sample size of 5,485. Of these, 11 are Kenyans while three are foreigners with the youngest being a two-year-old and the oldest 76 years. 10 are males while 4 are female.
The positivity rate in the country now stands at 0.3% with the total number of confirmed positive cases standing at 323,071. The number of cumulative tests conducted around the country is 3,399,164. From the cases; Nairobi had (10), Nakuru (2), Uasin Gishu (2) while Bungoma and Trans Nzoia each had one case.
A total of five patients have recovered from the disease, all of them are from the Home-Based Isolation and Care program. The total number of recoveries now stands at 303,329, with 250,341 being from the Home-Based care program while 52,988 are recoveries from various health facilities around the country.
There were deaths reported and the cumulative number of fatalities stands at 5,640. 39 patients are receiving treatment in various health facilities countrywide while 472 are in the Home-Based Isolation and Care program. 26,905 people have received their Covid-19 jabs in the last 24 hours’ statistics from the Ministry of Health now show. 21,089 people got the full dose in the same period. 16.8 million Kenyans have been vaccinated, of these 7.7 million are fully vaccinated while 7.8 million have received only one dose.
