A Kenyan who worked as a security guard in Qatar has died after suffering severe injuries following a reported fall at one of the eight main football stadiums.
John Njau Kibe, 24, who moved to Qatar a year ago, was taken to intensive care after falling from what was reported as a "significant height" at Lusail Stadium during the Argentina World Cup quarter-final match against the Netherlands.
The incident occurred on Saturday last week as the World Cup hospitality village was emptying out after the game, which Argentina won on penalties.
