I enjoy reading books and watching great speakers do their thing whether on TV or YouTube- not because I have nothing better to do but because I actually learn so much. There is just something about what they say that makes my mind go in circles. I cannot explain it, but the one thing I can boldly say is that this makes me think and think hard.
So this one afternoon, I log on to YouTube to explore and I come across Caroline Mutoko’s YouTube channel. As usual my curiosity shoots and seconds later I am onto the channel like crazy checking right, left and center what she has going on there. I remember clicking to watch just one of her episodes but how I got to watch all her episodes is unexplainable.
Oh wait…It is actually explainable. Caroline speaks sense! Yeah, there you go. I said it. Hate her, love her… she isn’t about to stop what she does and ooh! Bless Her. Anyway, one and a half hours later, I get back to reality. ALA! I had actually been writing notes all the while.
The videos are 3-4 minutes long but here I was actively clicking next, next and next. Learnt a lot and here I am at it again. Indeed sharing is caring.
So table or menu? Well let’s see. Meanwhile, forget that kitchen, sitting room, dining room, restaurant table and menu. This has nothing to do with that at all.
Just as the coin has its two major sides, life on the other hand has not been left behind. In this life, you are either at the table or on the menu. Meaning what? If you don’t speak up, people will speak on your behalf. If you do not control your life, someone is going to do it for you. If you don’t fight for you, guys will fight against you with every chance they get.
If you don’t respect you, when disrespected, don’t get shocked honey. If you don’t work to build you, nobody will do that for you and it goes on and on. If you are not at the table, you are definitely available on that menu and we all know what happens to what is on the menu. You get eaten! Yeah. You will definitely be feasted on. Now Relax!! Breathe in…and out.
In other words, I am trying to say that you need to quit that average attitude you have wrapped all around you. It is not a fancy look on you. Speaking of, have you looked at yourself on the mirror? Does what reflect there really deserve getting everything in average? Na aah. I don’t think so.

Now to all the young people out there (including those young at heart), :-) Understand that most of the snags you and I face in this life is because of two reasons; we act without thinking or we keep thinking without acting. If you look at your life right now, you are where you are because of what you did or dint do at one particular point in your life. How do I know about this?
I am a living testimony of what I am always writing. Been there, still here and learning as the days go by. Think before acting and act on that which you have been putting on hold. Comfort time is up. And I can relate to this. I know what being comfortable will do to you. It will rarely get you past the takeoff, meaning getting successful will be troubling for you and I. Please, free thyself from the menu. It is not a good place to be. Hear it from me.
And now as we wake up to reality and dress up to show up at the table called our lives, have this…"There are two days in your life that you cannot control. One was called yesterday and the other is called tomorrow. However, today is pretty much at your disposal. It is all yours." Can we do something about it? Like right now. Okay? .....GREAT!!
