Student leader antics don’t get any better than Babu Owino’s as was seen a few days back when he unleashed a comprehensive list of his birthday party requirements worth Sh.14.5 million.
With students quickly circulating the party list which ended up trending on social media for a whole day, many curious to know whether or not ‘Guests from Ethiopia for the VIP’ would come to the party and what tools for enjoyment would be used.
The 10th of October saw Babu Owino attend the OLX Soma Awards during which he was crowned most influential student leader as his fellow comrades ululated and clapped in jubilation.
So excited were the comrades present, that they even sang him a happy birthday verse which he seemed to appreciate. Soon after receiving his awards, Babu and his well manned entourage of more than 10 men left the venue perhaps to enjoy Babu’s birthday.
However it emerges that the party requirements list was all for hype as Babu Owino charitably spent his birthday at the Thomas Bernados Children’s Home along Lang’ata Road. At this party, Babu’s donations are believed to have been worth Ksh. 314, 090 and he sure seemed to be having fun with the children at the home.
