Sir Alex Ferguson is trying to convince Cristiano Ronaldo to come back to Manchester United. Fergie had dinner with the Real Madrid superstar after watching their embarrassing 4-3 Champions League home loss to Schalke last Tuesday.
Ferguson sat next to Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes, and after the match the legendary Manchester United manager had dinner with the Portuguese superstar.
United have been keen to lure the 29-year-old back to Old Trafford ever since they sold him to Madrid for £80m in 2009, a world-record fee at the time.
They attempted to re-sign him in 2013 before the Portugal captain signed a new deal at the Bernabeu and Louis van Gaal is a known admirer of the player.
