We all know we should be changing our bedsheets frequently - but do you also stick your duvet in the washing machine?
It's common knowledge that you should change your sheets regularly to avoid becoming ill, with once a week being the recommended amount.
But how often should you wash your duvet? Well, apparently, it's every three months - which probably puts a lot of us to shame.
A nationwide survey from Laundrapp has revealed that out of 97% who sleep with a duvet, 20% have NEVER washed it.
This means 13million of us are snuggling down with over 20,000 dust mites and skin scales underneath duvets bursting with bacteria.
A further 78% revealed they had washed theirs only once in the past 12 months - nine months longer than the recommended time.
Better get that washing machine ready.

A staggering quarter of females reveal their duvets have successfully dodged the inside of washing machine since being purchased – unfazed by the rumored litre of sweat humans lose during a typical night’s sleep.
