Ever had of a wax figure? If not, allow me to break it down to you.  A wax figure is a type of image, mostly a representation of a person in the form of a sculpture.

Now that you are in the know, would you actually get one of yourself?

As you give it a bit of thought, the latest celebrity to get a wax figure of herself is Zendaya.

Turns out Madame Tussauds London, a tourist attraction site, that has life size wax replicas of famous celebrities and historic icons in galleries made a figure of the Euphoria star.

According to the wax museum, they create figures of celebrities depending on popularity, this is according to regular polls and feedback.

The tourist attraction site that takes about two hours to complete a visit has about 250 lifelike wax figures on display.

A figure costs approximately $300,000 equivalent to 30,000,000 shillings and takes several weeks of labour (350 hours) to create reason why keeping them in top is top of their priority.

Kim Kardashian, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Gwen Stefani and the late Betty White are examples of celebrities who have had wax figures of themselves. The list is however endless.

Celebrities are however not paid to have wax figures of themselves but they enjoy the thought of it. The wax figures are made courtesy of London Studios.

As for Zendaya’s wax figure, twitter users pointed out that it dosen’t look like her. The figure has Zendaya sculptured in a fuschia Stella McCartney suit, an appearance she made on the red carpet in 2016.

The figure has since received both positive and negative criticism.

“I see what they’re going for but the proportions of every aspect are a little off,” a user wrote on Twitter

"How does this both look like her and look nothing like her at the same time???" Lamented another user.

"The wax version of Zendaya looks like she wants to speak to the manager," commented another.

The newest Zendaya wax figure will be open to the public today alongside other famous wax figures including that of Dwayne Johnson according to a news release.
