It may take much longer than expected for parliament to determine the fate of nominees to the offices of chief justice, deputy chief justice and director of public prosecution. This follows fresh wrangles between the ODM and PNU sides of the grand coalition government over the composition of a committee to scrutinize the nominations. While PNU insists on retaining its members from the legal affairs committee on the temporary committee, ODM maintains that it will only accept an entirely different membership.
