Kenyan men are out of this world, there are none like them. Most ladies can relate. Nowadays, couples are moving in together and practicing ‘come we stay’ to their full potential. There are those that are waiting for marriage which is beautiful but your man is waiting on that day you will say, Yes and you will do some chores you have never seen. Maina Kageni’s breakfast is a show that can testify that Kenyan men expect some stuff done. For instance, there was a show that a lady confessed her fiancé wets the bed; in urine though. So he wakes up like nothing happened and he tells her to clean his urine up! It was not the first time it happened, it happens and she said the guy has no bladder issues. Where are our relationships heading to ladies if you will be cleaning your man’s susu every-day?
Men stop expecting:
Your woman to wash your inner wear- Your mother taught you how to do it and this is something that involves personal hygiene. Your wife/girlfriend/fiancée does not need to soak and wash your boxers. She has her own to handle, for the kids and teach them how to clean theirs.
Your woman to always wash your dishes and clothes when she comes to see you over the weekend- You have not put a ring yet and you are out here maiding your girlfriend? There are men that stay with unwashed dishes for a whole week or even a month because their girlfriends will come through for them. Yes, she will but girl let him put a ring on it and then wash all his laundry and dishes with passion. Stop maiding your girlfriends!
Your woman will leave you because you got no finances- Lets be real and deal here, ladies nowadays have really transformed! Many women currently have sponsors in their lives because their men cannot provide certain things but hello young man, not all ladies are like that. Take time to know her and then with time you will know if she is a gold-digger for days but don’t bribe or blackmail her. Simply, work hard and show effort.
Your woman will do what you say and decide- A relationship is a two-way thing. It involves two people with two hearts that are deeply in love with each other. So when it comes to making decisions both of you need to air your opinions and rule things out TOGETHER. But in the Kenyan culture, men believe what they say and decide is right and should be done. You dictate her political party, the job best for her and it can to go the extent of telling her to quit and stay home. Let your woman do her thing, let her join whatever political party she wants; don’t become a dictator.
Your woman to always put you first- Us as women have a lot that we go through and the men need to understand this! We have you, our menstrual cramps, children to raise, studies, families, businesses, job and most importantly themselves. There is this group of men that get offended when their woman has their thing going on. Why now? Give us our space and respect it, we do that too.
