Inseparable cousins Ngina and Kavi Pratt were recently spotted taking selfies and having easy conversations with Haitian musician, Wyclef Jean.
Heads Up’s little birdie in the House on the Hill (State House) was right to speculate that Wyclef could have shared a meal with Uhuru Kenyatta.
“Kavi is a musician and so is Wycleff. Can’t two musicians just hang out regardless of whom they are related to?” posed one of the Coke Studio handlers when Heads Up asked whether Kavi was also part of the project recorded by Wyclef during his visit.
Kavi and Ngina are always together and she seems quite supportive of her cousin’s music career.
She was spotted during last year’s Tusker Project Fame closing ceremony, Alaine’s concert and Safaricom Jazz Festival where Kavi has performed.
A daughter to the president’s sister, Christina Pratt, Kavi, studied in Rome before returning to Kenya in 2012 to pursue her music career.
While there, she toured different states to promote her music.
Kavi, whose real name is Nyokabi Pratt, is not the only musician in the Kenyatta family.
Her cousin Tom Morello is a famous rockstar in the US.
