Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert have officially finalised their divorce after months of legal proceedings, with a multi-million-dollar settlement bringing an end to their high-profile split.
Taylor, a celebrated singer, actress, and choreographer, and Shumpert, a former NBA star turned media personality and businessman, were married for nearly eight years before parting ways. The couple, who tied the knot in 2016, share two daughters: Iman Tayla "Junie" Shumpert Jr. and Rue Rose Shumpert.
A major highlight of the settlement is the division of assets, particularly real estate. Taylor now has full ownership of four high-value properties, including their former family home in Alpharetta, Georgia, with a combined worth of over $10 million (Sh1.2b).
Taylor also secured a substantial one-time seven-figure financial payout, division of their luxury vehicles, with Taylor retaining ownership of a $300,000 (Sh38m) Maybach, a $70,000 (Sh9m) Mercedes Sprinter, and a tour bus.
Shumpert also agreed to a monthly child support of $8,000 (Sh1m) that will cover the cost of their private school education.
Taylor remains in full control of her thriving business ventures.
