There have been conflicting reports that Ifeanyi Adeleke, son of Nigerian singer Davido and his fiancee Chioma Rowland is dead.
Sources say the three-year-old boy drowned in a swimming pool at his father's residence located at Banana Island in Lagos State.
According to reports, after futile attempts to resuscitate the boy, Ifeanyi was rushed to a hospital in the Lekki area of the state, where he was confirmed dead.
Davido and Chioma had reportedly left Ifeanyi at home with his caretakers when the incident occurred.
The news left many confused as some reported that Ifeanyi was still alive and in the hospital recuperating.

However, several celebrities took to social media to offer their condolence messages to Davido and his family, leading many to believe the singer's son had died.
Actress Rosemary Afuwape, wrote on her Instagram story, "My heart can't take this. This is so painfully unbearable. Chioma and Davido please accept my condolences. No amount of words can comfort your hearts. I am truly sorry for your loss."
Actor Williams Uchemba said, "I won't believe anything on SM until I personally confirm myself. I prayed for it to be a lie, I'm upset, pained and confused. Nobody deserves to feel this pain."
Singer Stefflon Don tweeted, "Prayers up for Chioma and Davido."
Sally Suleiman wrote, "We love you Davido, we are praying for your family. We wait to hear from you, till then we are praying for you and your family."
Popular Nigerian blogger, Linda Ikeji reported a 'distraught and inconsolable' Davido was removed from the hospital and taken to his father's house.
Davido and fiancee are yet to comment on the news at the time of publishing this article.
