Facebook billionaire Sheryl Sandberg yesterday tied the knot with Tom Bernthal, a businessman and former NBC News producer. Sandberg, who is 52, posted the news of her marriage to Bernthal, 50, on her Instagram page using a wedding picture that she simply captioned, "Married" with love heart emojis
Bernthal, who is also the founder and former CEO of Kelton Global, said of their wedding on his own Instagram page, "After both experiencing loss, @sherylsandberg and I weren't sure we would ever find love again. Over the last three years, we've merged our lives and blended our families. Our wedding today was a dream come true."
They will now be a blended family of seven: Sandberg has two children, while Bernthal has three. All the five children were in the bridal party.
"It is our wedding as the seven of us," Sandberg told People Magazine. "We keep saying, 'We're all getting married."
Sandberg was previously married to Dave Goldberg, who died in 2015. Goldberg was on vacation and suffered a heart attack while on a treadmill, which caused him to collapse and hit his head. He died from severe head trauma and blood loss.

The new couple met when Dave's brother, Rob Goldberg, introduced them in 2019, after which they started dating. Rob was also a co-officiant at the wedding yesterday.
The two both love country music, so the wedding was American Western Country - themed, with Bernthal donning cowboy boots and jeans as the groom.
According to People magazine, the couple asked guests to donate to VOW and CARE to fund anti-child marriage programs and poverty alleviation efforts in lieu of gifts.
Sandberg will be stepping down from her role as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Meta (formerly known as Facebook) to focus on philanthropy but will continue to serve on its board.
