Just like anything you own, your car can look a little worse for wear after a while.
And whilst a good hoover here and car wash there is the answer to some of your grubby car problems, it's easy to forget about those more stubborn cleaning jobs like those foggy headlights - yes we know you're ignoring them.
But there is actually a simple way to clean them - and you won't have to spend a penny reports New York Times Post.
An Australian woman has revealed that you can easily de-fog your headlights with the help of only two products that you probably have hidden in your cupboards already.
She shared the trick to Facebook and explained that with the help of toothpaste, baking powder and elbow grease she managed to completely clear her foggy headlights.
Leonie started by combining toothpaste and baking powder together and, using a paper towel, applied the mixture to her headlights.
Then she thoroughly rubbed the product onto the headlights, later using her fingers to really work the product in.
By what you might be thinking, is why toothpaste?
Apparently it contains a mild abrasive that can easily buff away the rough texture of a surface, leaving it feeling much smoother - and your headlights clearer.
Once Leonie shared the impressive trick to Facebook, everyone was blown away with how simple it was.
One person said: "Wow I need to do this on my Mini one is really bad, I might give this a go tomorrow."
Another suggested: "Magic erasers work wonderfully too – my car detailer uses them and my car headlights come up brand new."
A third admitted: "Good to know, we always just buy new light covers."
