Britain's London 2012 Olympic hero Mo Farah has revealed he wanted to give his son the middle name 'Arsenal'.

The most recent addition to the Farah clan is Hussein Mo Farah, joining older sisters Rhianna, Aisha and Amani.

Farah has made his love for the Gunners no secret since he shot to prominence as one of Britain's most successful athletes.

He became the first man to win the 'triple double' this summer, with gold medals in the 5,000 and 10,000 metres in the Olympics and two world championships.

The arrival of his son gave him another reason to celebrate, but his wife soon put a stop to the football-related name idea.

"I wanted Arsenal to be Hussein's middle name, but Tania wasn't having it," Farah told OK Magazine.

"Growing up I would never have thought that I'd be a double Olympic champion, with a lovely home and beautiful kids.

"This opportunity [competing] is something that I have to make the most of – I have trained so much of my life for it and the chance won't come back again."
