Even as the presidential debate draws nearer, the lingering question remains whether the media is objective in its coverage of the presidential aspirants. While there has been the reports by the Media Council of Kenya trying to show who gets more coverage, these have been fiercely contested, especially by the Kenya Kwanza brigade. As political temperatures continue to rise and the polls only a few days away, Clay Muganda talks to a representative from the MCK, an independent journalist allied to Kenya Kwanza and an editor from the Standard Group. Is the media objective in its coverage? What can we do to improve on the shortcomings of the Deputy Presidential debate during the long awaited Presidential Debate? All this and more on the first episode of the Spotlight on the Fourth Estate podcast with Clay Muganda.
