His father’s dream for him was to be a village mechanic soon after KCPE because he couldn’t afford to pay for his high school. Since he’d scored 501 out of 700, the villagers in Meru would have none of that and they did a fundraiser to see him advance his education. He went on to become a celebrated village surgeon.
