Doctors at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) will see their salaries increase from Sh120,000 to Sh300,000 after a 56-day strike.
The strike addressed pay issues for medical staff.
Clause 7 of the National Right to Work Formula (RWTF) replaced contracts in place since 2019.
"The strike has ended wage disparity and secured better terms for our doctors," said Dr Davji Atellah, Secretary General of the Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU), in a statement on Wednesday, August 14.
KNH announced on Monday, August 12, that doctors with contracts expiring in August could start collecting new contract letters on August 13.
The new agreements will include a full salary and a 31 per cent gratuity for three years.
"We appreciate KNH's commitment, which has met the needs of all affected doctors," Atellah said, noting the hospital's compliance with the RWTF and a court order issued on May 8.
"The success we are seeing is due to our unity," he added.
