Covid-19: Kenya records 32 new cases, no deaths reported

In the last 24 hours, 32 people tested positive for the virus from a sample size of 6,528. Of these 24 are Kenyans while eight are foreigners with the oldest being 72 years and the youngest being a 12-year-old. 25 are men while 7 are female. 

The positivity rate now stands at 0.5% with the total number of confirmed positive cases standing at 323,057. The number of cumulative tests conducted in the country is 3.3 million. 

From the positive cases; Nairobi had (19), Nakuru (7), Uasin Gishu (2) while Garisa, Kiambu, Kisumu and Nyandarua all had one case each. 

33,301 people have received their Covid-19 jabs in the last 24 hours’ statistics from the Ministry of Health now show, of these 23,644 were fully vaccinated.

In total, 16.8 million Kenyans have been vaccinated, with 7.6 million being fully vaccinated while 7.8 million are partially vaccinated. 

A total of 28 patients have recovered from the disease, 22 are from the Home-Based Isolation and Care program while 6 are from various health facilities around the country. The total number of recoveries now stands at 303,324.

There were deaths reported and the cumulative number of fatalities stands at 5,640. 39 patients are receiving treatment in various health facilities countrywide while 477 are in the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.
