Some ninety-five people have tested positive for the coronavirus today, from 4,799 samples conducted in the last 24 hours.
Kenya’s positivity rate is now 2 per cent, with total confirmed cases at 255,355 and 2,848,757 tests conducted since the onset of the disease last year in March.
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe in a statement said an additional twenty-two patients have recovered from the disease, “with thirteen discharged from the Home-Based Isolation and Care program while nine are from various health facilities countrywide.”
No Covid-19 related death has been reported in the latest statistics, with fatalities remaining 5,335.
“A total of one hundred and seventy patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 815 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program. Four patients are in the ICU,” the CS said.
Kenya has fully vaccinated 10.6 per cent of the adult population so far, with about 7,417,276 vaccines administered across the country.
