Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has weighed in on a viral photo of Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka consoling the sons of his late friend, Daniel Kimanzi.
The image, taken at Kimanzi’s funeral, sparked widespread reactions online due to the striking resemblance between Kalonzo and one of the sons.
Sudi, reacting to the photo, questioned the similarity. “Unajua jana niliona picha ya watoto wawili vijana wakubwa, huyu mtu alikua PA wake kwa ofisi, kama ata PA wa governor. Lakini jana tuliona picha nyingine.. nataka kuuliza Kalonzo mbona hiyo picha inakaa kama wewe yote mbili.. kwa sababu mimi nilijua Kalonzo ni mtu ya AIC damu, mimi niliona duplicate ya watoto wawili ya mfanyikazi wake.. hii ni hatari sana,” Sudi remarked.

Kalonzo had earlier posted photos from the funeral, where he paid tribute to Kimanzi, describing him as a visionary who put God first in his life.
“Daniel's departure following a long illness bravely borne leaves a void, not just to his immediate family and friends, but to the whole community and country. Daniel was a vision carrier, a man who placed God first and at the centre of his life. His example is one we all should emulate,” wrote Kalonzo.

However, the focus quickly shifted from the tribute to the viral photo, with social media users flooding platforms with reactions. One user, Kamundi, joked, “I’m confused. I thought Kalonzo was looking into a mirror.” Gabriel Oguda added to the humour, asking, “Who is Kalonzo, between the two?”
Others speculated on possible family ties. Moses questioned, “Is Daniel Kimanzi or his wife related to Kalonzo? I’ve seen people who look like exact copies of their relatives.” John Mati offered an explanation, saying, “Apparently, the father looked very much like Kalonzo, and the boy completely takes after his father. Those who knew his father can confirm that.”
Some were convinced the photo was manipulated. Peter Mwita remarked, “I thought it was a photoshop of two images of Kalonzo.” Another user, Sigor, said, “I assumed this was an AI image of old Kalonzo advising young Musyoka!”
Maverick Otieno was equally puzzled, writing, “Wueh, what’s going on here? Are my eyes playing tricks on me?” Frank added, “It’s the resemblance that is a bit worrying. Maybe I’m just overthinking.”
