Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have launched the website for their new charity organisation - with a sweet nod to their son Archie.

Archewell will be the home for the couple's projects going forward, after they were forced to close down their SussexRoyal site when they quit their senior roles.

According to Hello!, the philanthropic body has been up and running for several weeks but the website is finally live - giving fans around the world their first look at the couple's post-royal vision.

The sleek and modern site has a minimal design, with the name taking centre stage on the homepage on a cream background.

Under Archewell, they have included definitions of the two parts of the word.

It states: "Arche…Greek word meaning 'source of action'.

"Well… a plentiful source or supply; a place we go to dig deep."

There is also a section for people to sign up for updates on their work.

There is no further information on the site at this point, but it's likely they will add to it soon.

When you share a link to the page - www.archewell.com, you see an extra message which reads: "Archewell is an organization committed to creating compassionate communities online and off, to serve our collective wellbeing."

The homepage also reveals the foundation is based in LA, where the family have recently bought a beautiful mansion.

They moved into their new Santa Barbara home, which cost about Sh1.5 billion (£11m), earlier this year.

While the price tag might look huge, it seems Meghan and Harry may have actually picked up a bargain as it's said to actually be worth closer to Sh2.8 billion (£20m), reports the Sun.

The house was built in 2003 and sold in 2009 for more than Sh3.5 billion ($25million), while Harry and Meghan's combined wealth is understood to be in the region of Sh6.1 billion ($43 million).

The couple reportedly plan to settle in the area and put down lasting roots for themselves and young son Archie - having quit the Royal Family and left the UK in March.

A source told PageSix: "This is where they want to continue their lives after leaving the UK.

"This is the first home either of them has ever owned. It has been a very special time for them as a couple and as a family."

Last week Meghan and Harry posed for their first official photo since quitting the royal family, releasing a black and white snap taken to promote their TIME 100 talk.

They hosted an online chat with the magazine to talk about the problems of social media and online platforms.

Meghan spoke about a YouTube employee who suffered PTSD because of the stress they took home every day.

"Can you imagine carrying that every day, it's everyone who ends up affected by it.

"The good outweighs the bad but goodness the bad can be so loud, the damage that happens as a result of that."

Meghan quit her own social media accounts 'for her self preservation'.

The couple have said there is an "overwhelming desire" for truth as they described the "global crisis" of misinformation that spreads online.

Meghan said: "It was only in the past couple of years we both started to connect the dots... all the work I was doing on women's empowerment or young girls and their sense of self worth, and seeing what the online spaces were doing to that community."

They also said they had used lockdown to spend time with Archie.

Meghan said: "We are trying to embrace all the quality time we get with our son and embrace every moment of his growth and development."
