School Games: Kisumu Day, Nyakach Girls make semis with a game to spare

Defending football champions Kisumu Day and Nyakach Girls are through to the semifinals of the ongoing 2025 Kisumu County Secondary School Term Two games being played at Moi Stadium and cohosted by Kisumu Girls, Kisumu Boys and Kisumu Day.
Kisumu Day sealed their spot in the last four on Thursday evening after thrashing Muhoroni High School 9-0 in their third Group A match played at Moi Stadium.
The champions opened their account on Wednesday with a narrow 1-0 win over Kasagam before seeing off Olembo 2-0.
The three wins placed them top of the pool with nine points and a superior goal difference of 12 goals.

Yet to concede a goal, Kisumu Day will face the test of Ngere Boys who have also been impressive following their opening two wins.
Ngere begun the championship with a narrow 2-1 win over Muhoroni before thrashing Olembo Boys 5-0.
Action continues today when Kasagam play Olembo and Ngere Boys in their final two matches.
On the other hand, Nyakach Girls are also through to the semis after big results on Thursday. The Nyanza Region champions begun the games with a frustrating 0-0 draw with Ahero Girls before thrashing Migingo 7-0.
Their biggest win came against Magadi Secondary School whom they humiliated 12-0.
