Osoi, Kihara to remain in custody as DCI conducts probe

Ex-disciplined forces officer Patrick Nyambaka Osoi and former Prisons Service officer Jackson Kihara alias Cop Shakur will remain in custody until August 7, 2025, Kahawa Law Courts has directed.

The two are linked to a movement dubbed Fighting Brutality and Impunity (FBI) which has been accused by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)of planning to "wage war" against security forces.

Osoi was arrested on July 29 after the movement went viral, where he and two other ex-police officers were seen in jungle-green said to be those of special forces.

His counterpart, Kihara, was arrested on July 30, 2025 and presented at the Kahawa Law Courts by DCI officers who were trailing him.

The two are linked with being in possession of a firearm against the law, possession of ammunition without certificate, and preparation to commit a felony.

They are also being investigated over claims of aiding terrorist activities.
