A section of Uhuru Highway (A8) between the University of Nairobi roundabout and the Nairobi Expressway exit (Museum Hill exit) along the Nakuru-bound highway will be closed for three days.
In a statement on Friday, June 14, the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) said the closure is to allow maintenance work on the busy highway.
The section of the road will be closed from Friday, June 14 to Sunday, June 23.
Motorists are urged to use alternative routes and follow directions from traffic marshals and police as well as the traffic signs that have been provided for guidance.
“Motorists intending to use Uhuru Highway (A8) Nakuru bound section will use alternative routes such as Nyerere Road, Arboretum Drive, River Side Drive and Ring Road Kileleshwa,” KeNHA stated.
