Residents of Thika town were left in shock on Thursday morning after the body of an unidentified man was found dumped along the fence of Thika Police Station, Kiambu County.
The half-dressed body, which bore visible signs of assault, was discovered around 7 a.m. by passersby, according to local cyclist Egron Wainaina.
Wainaina said he was informed of the discovery by residents he ferried on his bicycle.

"It appears the man was beaten to unconsciousness before being brought and abandoned near the station," Wainaina said.
Moses Ekaporon, a Thika resident, expressed shock at the incident, condemning the killing.
"Nothing is worth taking someone's life. We urge the police to increase surveillance and patrols to prevent such cases," he said.
Confirming the incident, Thika Sub-county Police Commander Lawrence Muchangi said investigations have begun and a manhunt for the suspects is underway.
He appealed to anyone who might recognize the deceased to come forward for identification.
Muchangi further assured residents of Thika that security remains a top priority. "This is an isolated case. The body was dumped here by the killers, but we remain committed to safeguarding the lives and property of our people," he said.
The police later collected the body and transferred it to General Kago Funeral Home in Thika, where it awaits identification and a postmortem examination.
