Actress Jackie Matubia and her fiancé Blessing Lung'aho have welcome their first child together.
Jackie took Instagram on Monday morning and shared the news with her fans, saying she had a safe delivery.
"Good Morning. Great news!!! Baby is finally here. We give thanks to God for a safe delivery," said Jackie.
Jackie also posted a picture of herself carrying her bundle of joy on her Instagram stories and captioned it, "My baby D, Blessing we did good."
The Zora actress told her fans she would share the delivery journey via her YouTube channel, adding that "this was one interesting delivery."
However, the decision to document the delivery process comes as a surprise following Blessing's remarks during a previous interview.
"I'm a pretty private person especially when I'm vulnerable and I wouldn't want to document that. Maybe she might want to document something, I will support her in that but I'd do it differently," said Blessing.
Jackie and Blessing's news attracted a lot of reactions from fellow celebrities and fans who camped in the comment section with congratulatory messages.
The couple went public with their relationship on February 14 after the actress introduced Blessing as her boyfriend and the father of her unborn child.
In April, the two got engaged after Blessing, popularly known as Madiba, got down on one knee and proposed to his fellow actor Jackie.
"He proposed and I said Yes! I can't wait to spend the rest of my life laughing and loving you always," Matubia said.
Jackie and Blessing both have children from previous relationships.
When asked about becoming a dad for the second time, Blessing said, "Children are a blessing in more ways than one, I also have a daughter. Fatherhood is something I can't explain. It's an amazing feeling."
