Why President Uhuru Kenyatta’s car will be driven on green carpet in swearing in ceremony
After being announced as the winner of the October 26 repeat presidential poll, President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to be sworn in for his second term of five years as President.
As the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) rehearsed for the swearing in ceremony at Moi Sports Centre Kasarani, they had to lay a carpet on the tartan track so that come Tuesday, the President’s car does not destroy the running surface that cost taxpayers at least Sh350 million.
The Stadium recently hosted the World Under 18 championships.
