1. In the year 2006, Gilbert deya was arrested in the United Kingdom
2. In 2004, Deya’s home in Nairobi was raided by police who later took nine children into their custody. After intensive DNA tests, six of the children were found to be unrelated to the Deya’s, after the wife had claimed that they were all miracle babies.
3. Concerns were raised regarding how the Charity Board was being administered – leading to Deya’s removal from the board.
4. In the year 2007 Deya was jailed for two years on charges of stealing child. He later became one of the most wanted child traffickers.
5. A court in the Britain made a ruling, stating that one of Deya’s miracle babies was indeed trafficked and that the intention had lots of money involved. This happened in 2004.

6. Gilbert Deya Ministries is the name of the ministry he runs and in the year 1992 he was sanctified as an archbishop in the United States.
7. Deya faces trial for purportedly stealing five children in Kenya between 1999 and 2004. It is said that they were kept by Deya and Mary (his wife) after without approval, being taken from their parents.
8. According to an International news website, Deya was jailed for two months after giving an order that was forged, claiming to be from the High Court of Kenya – which would pardon him from any investigation.
9. Mr Deya was also accused of selling a miracle cure for HIV/AIDS. He claimed that the oil was anointed and if applied on any food, would eliminate cancer.
10. Between the 1980s and 90s. Deya was was a Kenyan evangelist who later relocated to the United Kingdom to create his ministry – Gilbert Deya Ministries.
