Easy Coach passengers will now enjoy a 24-hour PSV passengers’ medical cover. Named ‘Jubilee Msafiri’, the product covers long distance bus travellers within East Africa.
The cover is included in the travel ticket at no extra cost and valid during the period of travel — from departure to arrival. This is after the bus company partnered with Jubilee Insurance to distribute the product to travellers and holiday travellers. Plans are a foot to provide the cover to more bus companies.
Speaking during the partnership sign off at Easy Coach offices, the bus firm’s Chief Executive Officer Azym Dossa said the product adds a lot of value to the passengers at no extra cost. “This is a welcome relief to our passengers and they can now rest assured that their travel is fully taken care of from departure to arrival,” said Dossa. Jubilee Insurance Senior Regional Executive Mike Durek said the firm is working to lead in micro insurance in the region.
“Though profit maximisation is key in any business, our main aim is to transform lives through the micro insurance schemes,” said Durek. The Jubilee Msafiri medical cover will cater for all inpatient and outpatient medical bills up toSh25,000 in the event of injuries as a result of a road accident involving the vehicle in which the insured is travelling in.
