After a period of silence over emerging bromance between President William Ruto and Opposition chief Raila Odinga, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has waded into the waters sending messages that he was alert of political undercurrents unfolding in the country.

Mr Gachagua, who is in Mt Kenya region where he will spend four days, is seemingly consolidating his political base following the Ruto-Raila deal. He was in Embu on Friday and Saturday, was yesterday in Laikipia and will still be there today.
