Limuru to hosts KCB East Africa Golf Tour action on Saturday

The lush par 72 Limuru Country Club will play host to the tenth leg of the KCB East Africa Golf Tour this weekend as golfers graces the 18-hole course to battle for the top honors.

Over 200 golfers are expected to participate in the grueling tourney that is set to tee off at 6:54 am for the morning action before the afternoon’s tee that has been slated for 12:30 pm.

The amateur series has so far traversed Nakuru, Nairobi, Mombasa, Kakamega, Nyeri, Nandi, Kakamega, Kericho, and Uasin Gishu Counties reaching over 1500 participants, and over 600 juniors through the clinics that ran concurrently with the tour.

The series will culminate in a grand finale on December 6, where top teams from each leg will meet to crown the overall winners who will participate at the 2025 Magical Kenya Ladies Open Pro-Am event at the PGA Baobab Course, Vipingo in Kilifi County.

In addition, the Club that produces the overall winners will receive Sh1 million cash prizes geared towards a sustainability initiative that they are currently undertaking.

To further sweeten the competition, the Bank has partnered with Beulah City Ltd, a property firm, to give an apartment valued at Sh2.1 million as the hole in one prize for every during the 2024 tour.

Limuru Country Club Captain James Githinji said KCB has played a pivotal role in the growth of Golf in Kenya and assured Golfers that the course greens are well kept and in good shape

“Our involvement in the tour’s action speaks to our robust aim of elevating this game to an elite level. As Limuru Country Club, we are happy to participate in this competition,” said Githinji.
