White House: Israel to begin four-hour pauses in northern Gaza

The White House says Israel will start to implement four-hour daily pauses in its military operation against Hamas in areas of northern Gaza, starting Thursday.

The announcement by National Security Council spokesman John Kirby came as the Israel Defense Forces battled Hamas militants in Gaza City and more Palestinian civilians fled the area.
