Diego Maradona was taken from his seat and helped into his private box just moments after Argentina dramatically beat Nigeria 2-1 at the World Cup.
The former Barcelona and Napoli star was captured on camera holding on to one person while another attempted to guide him through the door.
The footballing legend looked agitated throughout. His mood was seen ranging from celebrating wildly to falling asleep, to giving a disgraceful two-fingered salute after Marcos Rojo's late winner.
The World Cup winning legend was then treated by two paramedics in a nearby room at the end of the game.
Reports in Argentina claim Maradona was then taken to hospital but sources at the ground say he was treated at the stadium's medical centre.
The Mirror's Darren Lewis, who was at the match, said: "Maradona has not gone to hospital. He was treated here at the Zenit Arena in the medical centre for a 'blood pressure-related issue'
"He is said to be fine at the moment."
Maradona was energetic throughout the game, with cameras regularly cutting to him for his reaction.
Following Rojo's dramatic 86th minute winner, the 57-year-old was seen screaming down at the pitch and swearing with both hands.
A fan from Argentina penned: "Diego Maradona does not represent me as Argentinian. I'm ashamed by him."
And the pair weren't alone in their criticism.
Another fan tweeted: "Can't believe people are bigging Maradona up for this. He's just couple of years older than my dad and instead of celebrating his team's goal he's out here swearing at Nigerian lads that have the average age of 24.
Earlier in the clash, after Lionel Messi's brilliant finish, he held his arms outstretched and screamed at the sky before dramatically folding them.
That celebration was of stark contrast to the images of Maradona shown shortly before half-time.
The 57-year-old was spotted flashing his middle finger with both hands after Argentina scored their second goal.
