Former champions Postal Corporation of Kenya will face Talanta’s Communications Authority (CA) in football finals of the Kenya Communication Sports Organization (Kecoso) Games at ASK Nakuru Showground on Saturday.

CA booked their ticket to the finals after overcoming guest team Kabarak University 5-4 on post-match penalties after a one all draw in regular time in a tough semifinal match on Wednesday.

And as the two teams prepare to clash in the finals, Kabarak University won the play-offs after seeing-off the Ministry of Roads and Transport (MORT) 1-0 in an entertaining match on Thursday.

Kabarak scored the winning goal through Hiram Mbatia in the 44th minute.

“This has been a tough event but I must agree it has exposed my players who are still young in readiness for other serious future assignments,” said Kabarak coach Justine Oguta.

In netball, PCK won the title with six points in the four-team round robin series ahead of MORT, Kenya Industrial Training Institute (KITI) and Gilgil Queens who all tied on two points but were separated on superior goals aggregate in that order.

CA won the scrabble title with a total of nine points ahead of MORT seven, Kenya Airports Authority’s (KAA) two points.

Dennis Sonoiya of CA was voted the best player while MORT clinched the title of the Most Improved Team and KAA the Best Sporting Team.

In darts, CA won the title with 57 goals ahead of KAA 44, Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA) 30, and MORT 17 goals.

Guest team Rift Valley Sports Club (RVSC) lifted the snooker title with 12 points in the five team round robin matches at the winners’ backyard.

CA were runners up with nine points ahead of PCK (six), KAA (three) while MORT finished last without a point.

And in the two-team-play of the pool championships, KAA emerged the winners with 56 points ahead of KENHA with 50 points.
