Nondescripts RFC are the 2023 Tisap Sevens champions.

Amidst the cheers of a fervent crowd and the scorching sun of a sweltering day, Nondies, an unlikely expected winner reminded rugby enthusiasts of their old glory days.

Tisap Sevens had been a rollercoaster of emotions, filled with dramatic twists and turns, but it was Nondies who emerged as the triumphant champions, undefeated and unyielding.

Throughout the tournament, the rugby giants, Kabras Sugar and KCB, had been the favorites, but destiny had other plans.

As the quarterfinals unfolded, both giants fell to underdogs, leaving the competition wide open.

Nondies, however, had quietly and methodically made their way to the final, displaying a tenacity that belied their underdog status.

The final clash between Nondies and Strathmore Leos was a breathtaking spectacle. The score was tied at 7-7 at the end of regular time, setting the stage for a sudden-death showdown in extra time.

Moses Begi touched down to give Nondies a 7-0 lead following Daniel Okito's successful conversion.

Andrew Matoka responded for the university students who tied the scores at 7-7 at halftime before a tough final half sent the game to sudden death.

In those heart-pounding moments, Nondies seized the opportunity. With precision, Charles Odhiambo would emerge the hero after touching down the match-winner.

National Sevens Circuit leaders Kabras Sugar finished a distant sixth as KCB finished fifth.

Mwamba finished third after hitting Menengai Oilers 12-7 in the third-place playoffs.
