President William Ruto has nominated 11 individuals to make up his new Cabinet.

Among the 11, four have been nominated to serve the same positions they held in his first Cabinet, two have been reshuffled, and five are new nominees.

Rebecca Miano has been nominated for the position of Attorney General. She previously served as Trade CS in Ruto's previous Cabinet and, if appointed, Miano will be replacing Justin Muturi.

Aden Duale and Kithure Kindiki have been nominated as Defence and Interior CS, respectively. The two are among those nominated to serve in the positions they held in the previous Cabinet.

Others nominated for similar positions they held in Ruto's first Cabinet include Alice Wahome and Soipan Tuya as Land and Environment cabinet secretaries, respectively.

Davis Chirchir, who previously served as Energy CS, has been nominated as Roads and Transport CS, a position held by Kipchumba Murkomen for nearly two years. His position in the Energy sector is yet to be allocated a nominee.

In the Health sector, President Ruto nominated Dr. Debra Mlongo to replace Susan Nakhumicha as Health Cabinet Secretary.

Ruto nominated Julius Migosi Ogamba as Education CS, a position previously held by Ezekiel Machogu. Ogamba currently serves as KenGen chairperson.

Margaret Nyambura Ndung'u has been nominated as ICT CS, a position previously held by Eluid Owalo.

Other nominations include Andrew Muhia for the Agriculture Cabinet Secretary position and Eric Muriithi Muuga as Water CS. If appointed, they will replace Mithika Linturi and Zachariah Njeru, respectively.

The nomination comes a week after the Head of State dissolved his first Cabinet following immense pressure from Gen Zs who insisted they would not agree to a reshuffle but a complete overhaul.

However, according to the President, the decision to nominate the six who served in the previous Cabinet was made after extensive consultations.

Adding that other nominations will be announced soon, along with a clear roadmap for his new cabinet.
